Because of the limited supply in the building we recommend other projects in the area and other parts of the city. There are other condo buildings close to 707 Lofts so we can explore those building. If you took a geographic mirror image of Toronto based on Yonge St as the central axis you’d end up on Danforth Ave in Toronto’s east side. I will wait a few seconds while you look that up and flip your real estate mind to the east side of town. Danforth Ave starts at the Don River where Bloor St ends. It is has the same distance to downtown but the river and bridges that you must use make commuting different. The subway runs along Danforth plus there are two 24 streetcars at Broadview and Danforth. New Danforth condos are appearing every year but there are some new ones in place already. The corner of Danforth and Main St will see a boom of new condos and it has the Go transit line right beside it along with subway and streetcar options. Most buildings along Danforth are low rise construction like the 707 Lofts. Prices are slightly lower than buildings located on the west side.
Another east side option is the popular Leslieville area. The area resembles the 707 area with a mix of residential housing along with some business districts on major streets. The area does lack the subway option right now but future development will see the creation of the Downtown Relief Line which will service the area. The existing condo should see a price increase and developers have recently launched new projects to feed current demand. There are several well known condo buildings in Leslieville and you can find Leslieville condos for sale currently with prices per square foot below $1,000 in some buildings. The area is serviced by two 24 hour streetcar lines and it has a strong bicycle route network so many people do not own cars. Some folks even walk downtown to work with the commute times similar to the 707 Loft building to reach the downtown core via foot. The area has access to the Beaches neighbourhood for summertime relaxation. Its restaurant scene is booming with many new places and it has the famous Little India strip along Gerrard.
Foundry Lofts building
We mentioned the Foundry Loft building in another section of our website. What makes this building unique is that its built inside an old factory on Davenport. The building was built about 100 years ago and it has a long industrial history. The condo units are placed along the walls of the building and a large central interior space was left open to the residents. It is truly unique in Toronto construction with its historic features still in place. UNits sell quickly like the 707 Lofts but you can find Foundry Lofts for sale and because of the design of the units the prices are below $1,000 per square foot. Most of the units have two bedrooms with the master bedroom open to the lower level. If you are looking for a condo unit close to the 707 Lofts and you want something unique you should include this building in your search. Its not another cookie cutter design.
River City condos
You want award winning design, unique building design and Tim Hortons? Well the condos at River City meet all three requirements. The three main buildings designed by http://saucierperrotte.com/en have won various awards. The building truly stands out and the third building could never be called a standard condo design. It pushes the limit in condo construction in Toronto and not many other developments have even come close. The building is located close enough to down Toronto that you could easily walk to the core. It also has the 501 and 504 streetcar right beside the building so you have two choices for 24 hour streetcar service. The beautiful Corktown Common park is located right beside the third building so its a great area for kids. The famous Underpass park is right beside both buildings and it has play areas for kids, a skateboard park and some basketball hoops. This development has proven very popular but with over 1000 units there usually are some on the market at all times. Plus it has the Tim Hortons at River and King St which many River City residents use while wearing their pajamas and slippers, seriously!
